Rail is one of the best ways to see the world - enabling the traveller to sit back in comfort, enjoy delicious cuisine, wine and company, while viewing the world's most magnificent scenery. A luxury rail tour allows the traveller to witness some of the wildest and most beautiful places on earth from the comfort and convenience of an air-conditioned carriage.
For the ultimate in luxury travel experiences, here are a few of the world's most stunning trains.
The Royal Scotsman
To step aboard The Royal Scotsman is to step into a different world. The Royal Scotsman evokes the nostalgia of a bygone era; the romantic age of travel when the journey was as important as the destination.
This train provides an effortless way to experience Scotland in absolute luxury with just a few fellow travellers. With a maximum of only 36 guests aboard at any one time, it is easy to see why the Scotsman is considered among the top ten of the most luxurious trains in the world.
Seen from the comfort of the Observation Car the spectacle of Scotland's great wilderness does take the breath away - from sweeping glens to towering peaks and black lochs.
Al Andalus Express
The Al Andalus Express is comparable to a luxury hotel on wheels, a comfortable vantage point from which travellers can admire the Spanish countryside. Andalusia is the birthplace of flamenco and one of the most beautiful regions of Spain. Today it is a paradise for everyone to enjoy, with its stunning olive groves, picturesque villages and ancient cathedrals.
The interior of the Al Andalus Express offers all manner of exquisite touches, refinement and services. Travelling the Al Andalus across the panoramic landscape of Andalusia is an unforgettable experience.
The Express is made up of twelve cars: two restaurant cars, a lounge and game car; the Giralda bar car; five sleeping cars, two shower cars and a staff car.
Rovos Rail
Rovos Rail boasts international reputation for offering a world-class travel experiences. Passengers simply step aboard the wood-panelled coaches - classics remodelled and refurbished to mint condition - and enjoy fine cuisine in five-star luxury as some of the most varied scenery imaginable unfolds beyond the windows.
In a series of journeys lasting from 24 hours to a fortnight, the Pride of Africa links some of Africa's greatest destinations - from Cape Town to Dar-Es-Salaam in Tanzania, from scenic splendours such as the game reserves of Mpumalanga to the stark beauty of the Karoo.
Eastern & Oriental Express
This luxury train was first built in Japan in 1972 and first operated as the Silver Star train in New Zealand. The interior of the carriage is inspired by the East. The carriage walls are decorated with wooden marquetry of Eastern designs, while the bar and restaurant cars are decorated in Chinese and Thai lacquer.
Accommodation on board the Eastern & Oriental Express includes three grades of compartments: Presidential Suite, State Compartments and Pullman Compartments. All are air-conditioned, with en suite shower rooms. During dinner the steward transforms passenger compartments from daytime seating to bedrooms.
Facilities include a 24-hour steward service, international electric sockets and 110 volt adapter for razors, personal safe and hairdryer. The Presidential Suite also features a complimentary bar.
The train's observation car provides the perfect vantage point to witness the ever-changing terrain as the journey progresses through tropical countryside and jungle, past ancient temples, rivers and rice paddies.
The Trans-Siberian Express
The Trans-Siberian Express can satisfy one's thirst for adventure without sacrificing comfort. Tour Russia and other countries of the former USSR in luxurious style. The Express does not operate a 'fixed formation' train, as the composition varies to suit the number of passengers. For this reason the choice of the cabins can vary from trip to trip.
The Express Cars are purpose-built, new carriages designed for the 21st century to offer top-class comfort and service. Each carriage has four compartments which can be configured for double, twin or single occupancy, with the lower berth converting into a sofa for daytime travel.
Each compartment features its own private shower and toilet facilities and has a wardrobe, audio system, DVD/VCR and air conditioning with individual climate control.
Live out your wildest dreams by booking a luxury rail tour today.

How does a country determine how much NEW money it makes each year?
What i mean by make is making the money by machine e.g at the royal Australian mint.
They have complex formulas calculating the amount of money that wears out. For the US, they print as they find they need. Seen the currency rate? 1 USD is only 0.71 Euro.

People who know their slot machines know what a Silver Strike Slot machine is but for those of you who do not, here is a little backgrounder on what it is and why it is one of the more popular older slot machines around. People in the olden days used to play slot machines not to win coins but to win prizes that actually came out of these machines. The images you see on present day slot machines are actually symbols that date back from when these machines dispensed gum when figures lined up on the reels in front of you. Fruit symbols such as cherries, oranges and such represented the flavors of the gums that you get when you line these up on the reels with your spin and the word "bar" lined up often meant that you get a whole bar of gum as your prize.
The prize system for slot machines slowly disappeared even when the fruit and "bar" symbols remained on the reels and people started winning coins instead of prizes for the times when the symbols lined up. The Silver Strike Slot machine also gave out coins when a player hits certain reel combinations after the pulled the lever to try and win something but that is not the only thing these machines gave out. Sometimes when people are lucky enough with these machines called Silver Strike, they actually strike silver with a coin that drops from the machine when a certain combination is shown on the reels and this coin is made out of pure.999 silver and has a ten dollar face value if exchanged at the casino you won it from.
The older versions of this machine used to dispense only 50 of these coins and a lot of the casinos who had these machines lined up with their other machines found that most of the people who won silver coins took these coins home instead of turning them in for the ten dollar prize money. This led to people collecting these coins and with the number of variations in the designs of the coins that many different Silver Strike machines gave out, it became a prime collectible item for a lot of people. This is due to the fact that the casinos that used these silver coins on their Silver Strike machines often came up with new coins every year for these machines and this meant that you may not find this year's coin in next year's machine, making them somewhat rare.
The Silver Strike Slot machine tokens that you get and don't cash out when you do win them are actually valued at the same price as the amount printed on it. If you wish to sell these silver tokens you have, you can actually get ten dollars for each of them. There are people who will pay higher however if you have really rare Silver Strike tokens in your collection and while there are thousands of these floating around, since very few people may be letting go of their own tokens, you can ask for a higher price for extra tokens you have that other people are looking for.

82nd Airborne division 3rd Battalion 73rd Armor Old Coin/Medal??
I have a coin/medal (I'm not sure) that on one side says "Free world's Only Airborne Armor Battalion" and has a fist with a lightening bold in it that says "honor, fidelity, courage" under it. The other side says "83D Airborne division 3rd Battalion (ABN) 73rd Armor" and it has a tank and a lightening bolt going through it. Does anyone know whhat this is??
This coin must have been handed out sometime between the Vietnam war when the M551 Armored Airborne Reconnaissance Vehicle (AARV) was first introduced in the late 1960's to 1997 when this unit was disbanded. The M551/M551A1 is not classified as a tank despite it meeting all the general outlines of a tank, it is too lightly armored because of the need for airborne delivery. Regarding the coin it was probably minted between the late 1970's when the first big upswing of 'Challenge Coins' infected the Armor to 1997 when the battalion was disbanded. Prior to the late 1970's most 'Challenge Coins' were reversed for the more elite, special operations units. Following that date nearly every unit picked up the practice. If somebody threw their coin on the bar, everybody had to throw their coins. If somebody didn't have a coin they had to buy the round of drinks or if the challenger had an inferior coin he had to buy...

Welcome to Malaysia- From Tourism to Economy!
Economics
Did you know- From an economical perspective, Malaysia is one of the most industrialized countries on the continent of Asia. By the 1970s and 1980s, the economy was highly developed and Malaysia boasted one of the highest economic growth rates on the planet. By that time, it expanded its educational system very fast. Unlike Latin America, from Cuba, Peru and Venezuela to Bolivia and Argentina, the education, industry and minerals have transformed Malaysia into a middle-income country. Malaysia is one of Asia's richest places in minerals: tin, oil, gas, and iron, as well as copper, and bauxite. Tourism is growing rapidly since the mid-1990s. In fact, Malaysia is a perfect place for different types of tourism in Asia:ideal climate, isolated beaches, amazing islands, marine biodiversity, rich history, scenic landscapes, beautiful architecture, tropical biodiversity, and a modern capital city with luxury accommodations. Finally, Malaysia has three World Heritage Sites:
-Gunung Mulu National Park
-Kinabalu Park
-Melaka and George Town, Historic Cities of the Straits of Malacca
Independence

what one has more gold USA eagle coin or a Canadian maple leaf?
i know one is gold eagle in 91.67 and a gold maple leaf is 99.99 but the eagle weight's more due to copper and silver added to the coin where the maple leaf does not the are both 1 oz of fine gold, is what they say on the coin.. do they both have the same gold in them just the eagle has more other medals for hardness vs the maple leaf or does the maple leaf have more gold being 99.99?????
i am soo lost here.. help
The Canadian coin has more gold. They both have a true total weight of 1oz. The mix in the US coin means there is less total gold in the Eagle.
