New Approval of the .9999 Fine Gold Coin
New .9999 fine (24 karat) 1-oz legal tender $50 gold coins will be added to the U.S. Mint's line of gold bullion coins in 2006 when President Bush signs into law a bill that Congress passed in December. The legislation calls for the Mint to have the coins ready to distribute by June 2006, but the coins may be ready before then.
The legislation authorizing the new .9999 fine gold coins was quite specific, mandating the design and even the method of packaging. For the first year of issuance, the coins "shall bear the original designs by James Earle Fraser, 'which appear on the 5-cent coin commonly referred to as the 'Buffalo nickel' or the '1913 Type 1'." This wording, without specifically saying it, calls for the obverse (front) of the coins to carry the famed Indian Head design by Fraser. The reverse will carry the equally-famed buffalo design.
Each Indian Head-Buffalo coin is to be encased in a protective capsule, possibly such as the capsules used by Australia's Perth Mint to protect its .9999 fine gold bullion coins, including the popular limited edition Lunar Series Gold Bullion Coins. The protective cases "shall be readily distinguishable" from the packaging for Proof Coins, which are also authorized by the bill.
For years, proof coins have been individually encapsulated in protective cases. Individually encapsulating bullion coins will be new to the U.S. Mint. The Mint's 22-karat (.9167 fine) American Gold Eagles, which are the world's best-selling gold bullion coins, are packaged twenty to a tube and are not individually encapsulated.
Production of the Indian Head-Buffalo coins will be unlimited, and they will be marketed toward gold investors who prefer .9999 fine (24-karat) gold coins. The U.S. Mint already has the world's best-selling gold bullion coins with its 22-karat (.9176 fine) Gold Eagles. Still, there is a huge market for pure gold coins, and the new Indian Head-Buffalo coins will give the U.S. Mint a product for that market. The Asian and Indian markets clearly prefer pure gold coins, while alloyed gold coins are more popular in the Western World.
Presently, the Royal Canadian Mint's .9999 fine Gold Maple Leafs are the world's best selling pure gold coins. However, the Gold Maple Leafs have fallen into disfavor with investors because of the ease with which they are damaged. To counter this, the Royal Canadian Mint recently introduced new packaging for the 1-oz Gold Maple Leafs.
The new packaging for the 1-oz Gold Maple Leafs will put the coins individually in capsules that are suspended in credit card sizes cards, twenty-five coins to a box. It is too early to gauge market acceptance of the new packaging for the Gold Maple Leafs.
Considering the popularity of the of Indian Head-Buffalo design, the U.S. Mint's new .9999 fine gold coins could provide stiff competition for the Gold Maple Leafs. Fraser's designs proved to be a winner in 2001 when the U.S. Mint produced a limited number of Indian Head-Buffalo $1 silver coins sets. The sets sold out immediately and today carry prices several times their initial offering prices.
The new Indian Head-Buffalo .9999 fine gold coins, however, will not be limited edition, at least not the first year. The bill permits the Mint to "change the maximum number of coins issued" in subsequent years. Further, the bill authorizes the Mint to change the designs on either the obverse or the reverse after the first year's production.
Although the U.S. Mint produces its popular American Gold Eagles in four sizes, 1-oz, 1/2-oz, 1/4-oz, and 1/10-oz, the new Indian Head-Buffalo pure gold coins will be minted in only one size: 1-ounce. With the popular Indian Head and Buffalo designs, the Mint's new .9999 fine gold coins could quickly become favorites with gold coin investors.

Should I buy the United States Mint 2009 Silver Proof Set or just the US Territories Quarter Collection. I really want just the Territories, however, I wonder how much the entire 2009 Silver Proof set will be worth down the road.

The explosive game of FarmVille is one that's here to stay. Once you get involved, you are hooked and there's no looking back. Building up your coins and XP points are very important if you are to level up quickly and expand your farm.
Face it people, we all want to have the best looking farm right? Well, then there's work to be done. Start off collecting those coins by plowing, planting and harvesting. Again I say, plow, plant and harvest. You have to start with the basics. Gain some coin and along with it will come the XP points. It's kind of like peanut butter and jelly.
Coins from harvesting, coins from helping your friends, and from your animals such as collecting eggs from the chickens or truffles from the pigs or from brushing the horses. There are so many ways to accumulate those much needed coins. Did I mention that you need to bring in the coins?
Once we have a nest egg then we can think about purchasing other goodies like, no not the decorations, although I know it is tempting, actually more land. Expanding your farm, you guessed it, depending on the size plot you buy, will double your income. Oh I like the sound of that, cha ching! Be prepared to spend some time on the basic farming duties because we don't want our crops to die. Be there when they are ready. I believe there's only about an hour or so window before you'll have very withered, dried out, unattractive, not in the living state, dead crops.
The XP points are experience points that you acquire basically every time you complete a task. As you climb the ladder in XP points you rise in levels an example of this would be at level 2 you would need 20 XP points at 3 you would need 40 at level 4 you would need 90 and so on and so fourth.
The decorations are abundant, you can get fences, hay bales, bird houses, lawnmowers, wagons and the list goes on and on. Everything to make your farm look authentic and a farm you can and will be proud of. You can even fly a flag of your choice: USA, UK, Canadian, Spanish and more.

The Suitcase-Style One Arm Deadlift is one of the most powerful, results-producing exercises you will NEVER see anybody in the gym do until you actually do it yourself! The reasons? First, it's NOT a common exercise, even though it's been around for many years. Second, it's a tough exercise to do! But as you know, the toughest exercises are always the most productive.
The Suitcase-Style One Arm Deadlift places extreme torque on the core and will help you develop an incredibly tight and powerful midsection. Basically, instead of using both arms and doing a barbell deadlift in front of your body as you normally would, you'll stand BESIDE the barbell and pick it up with one arm.
Imagine reaching down and picking up a suitcase sitting beside you. That's the Suitcase-Style One Arm Deadlift but, of course, using a heavy barbell!

How To Do It:
First, if you're doing this exercise off the floor, load a barbell with a 45-lb plate on both ends. To lift this amount of weight, you should be able to deadlift at least 250 to 275 lbs in a normal deadlift.
If you wish to use less weight for this exercise, set the safety rails in the power rack to just below knee height and load the bar with however much weight you want to use. The reason you'd want to use the rack is, because you're using smaller plates, the bar will start too low to the ground and you'll need to lean over too much to the side to pick it up.
Stand beside the barbell and reach down and grasp it with one hand. When you do the One-Arm Deadlift, you should grip the bar slightly off-center. Your thumb and index finger grip should be about a centimeter (about a half inch or so) from the edge of the center grip surface. This uneven grip will prevent the bar being lifted unevenly and tilting as you are lifting.
The reason for this is that when you grip the bar with one hand, your thumb and forefinger grip area become the main pivot point. If that main pivot point is not close to the real center of the bar, the bar will tilt when you pick it up. By sliding your hand down so that your thumb and forefinger grip area is closer to the real center, you will have a much easier time keeping the bar level.
Before you pick up the bar, make sure your shoulders are level and your entire core area is tightened up very strongly. Pick up the bar, focusing on keeping your shoulders level as much as possible. The weight of the bar on the one side will place an EXTREME stabilizing load on the other side of the body. You will be pushing HARD with the same side foot as you're pulling on the bar, e.g. if you're picking the bar up with your right arm, you'll be pushing hard with your right foot.
Keep your lower back tight and arched as you stand up. Come all the way up to the top position and hold for a few seconds then lower the bar back down slowly. Gripping the barbell with one arm in this fashion is also VERY challenging to the grip. You'll need to hold on tight in order to keep your grip on the bar.
Set the bar down on the floor between reps and relax the core. Re-tighten everything then start your next rep. This exercise should only be done for low reps, e.g. 3 to 5 reps per set. Any more than that and the stabilizing muscles of the abs will become fatigued and cause the torque to go into the lower back instead of the abs, where you want it.
The first time you do this exercise, start with a conservative weight. It's deceptively tough, especially if you've not done a lot of movements that are weighted on only one side. The torque on your core will be a very new thing! The incredible tightness you'll feel all along your side abs the next day will show you just how effective this exercise is.
If you're a strong deadlifter or find your grip strength limits the amount of weight or number of reps you can do, I would definitely recommend grip assistance in the form of either lifting straps or a product called "1 Ton Hooks." The grip assistance will allow you to use heavier weight and hold onto it longer. It will also prevent the bar from rolling out of your fingers as your grip fatigues.
I would recommend the hooks over the straps in all cases. "1 Ton Hooks" are cast iron lifting hooks that are designed to allow you to hold extremely heavy without worrying about your grip strength. These hooks, in my opinion, should be in the arsenal of EVERY serious lifter and I highly recommend them. To put it in perspective, I've used these hooks to do partial deadlifts with more than 900 lbs and the hooks held up fine!
Give the Suitcase-Style One Arm Deadlift a try in your next back workout - I can promise you'll either be thanking me or cursing me for the next two days after you do it! Your entire core will be worked in a way it has NEVER been worked before.

How do I install my RAM?
I just bought 1GB of DDR RAM for my Packard Bell, on which I have installed Windows Vista. The RAM runs at 333MHz, the same as the RAM I have already installed, but I cannot run both sets together; there are 2 black DIMM slots and 2 Blue, the blue ones are the ones that are numbered 1 and 2.
I have tried all using all four, 2 of one and 1 of the other and right now I am running just the two new ones with the originals put into the static-proof bags.
The problem is when I start up it gets about a 30 seconds into loading and then freezes completely, sometimes even giving sky blue vertical lines!
Am I supposed to install the RAM with the computer on, I wouldn't have thought so but I haven't tried it! I really need help, chances are there is a setting somewhere I haven't seen!

The computer is supposed to be off. My bet is that they run at different voltages or timings. Boot from BIOS and fiddle with memory settings and see if you can find the differences.

It depends a bit on why you are buying gold coins. Proof coins are more expensive because they are intended as collectibles. The regular "business strike" coins are intended primarily as bullion.
If you are buying bullion and don't care about the collectible aspect, most coin dealers will sell you Krugerrands, Canadian Maple Leafs, or US Eagles, all of which contain one Troy ounce of gold and sell for slightly more than the gold spot price.

Moisture-proof Package & Quality Control Solutions
Moisture-proof Package are important for package quality, moisture-proof package quality control is therefore, very necessary. Moisture proof package avoids rusts and deterioration of the packed contents effectively. The Moisture Transmission Testing for Moisture Proof Package
The moisture proof packages are tested according to cup method as regulated in the standards. Cup method is another name for weighing method when testing moisture. Its principle is to test the weight differences of the cup within a unit time so as to get the parameters such as moisture transmission quantity. Hereinafter, we take Labthink TSY-T series of testers as example. This series has four testers, all of which are of weighing method.
The traditional testing method is to utilize cup, constant temperature chamber and scale to measure manually. However, owing to the human interferences, there would be a great influence on testing results, such as long testing duration and low accuracy. Labthink TSY-T series of moisture transmission testers are the global innovative fully automotive testing mode, complying with testing requirements as well as standards. The only thing the operator needs to do is to place the prepared specimen into the cup and start the tester. Then, the tester operates, judges, ends and prints the testing results automatically. The whole process is intellectual with no human interferences and thus, brings forward accurate and reliable testing results.
Besides, in actual application, the packaging material must undergo procedures such as forming, inserting and heat seal, etc; and uneven thickness and inferior sealing sometimes occur. This requires testing for packaging materials as well as the whole moisture proof package. Labthink PERME W3/330 Moisture Transmission Testing System successfully meets the double testing need. This testing system is of master-satellite mode, a master base can connect 9 satellite testers so as to realize 30 kinds of materials tested at the same time.
2. Heat Seal Strength Testing for Moisture-proof
The heat seal strength of the moisture proof packages should be no less than 30N/5cm according to some standards.
Labthink HST-H3 Heat Seal Tester is for the specimen preparation of the heat seal testing procedures. Tensile tester is to separate the seal so as to test heat seal strength.
Labthink XLW series tensile testers are specialized in the heat seal strength testing for moisture proof packages. A full automatic testing can be accomplished only by pressing the button ‘Heat Seal Strength’. Besides, this tester can test the elongation, peeling strength, tearing strength and puncture of the laminated layers of the moisture proof package.
3. The Seal Performance Testing of Moisture-proof Packages
The seal performance testing of moisture-proof package can be accomplished with Labthink MFY-01 Leak Tester. This tester consists of mainframe, vacuuming device and vacuum chamber. Through testing, pinhole, crack, inferior seal and other defects can be found.
First, place the package into the vacuum chamber filled with water, set the vacuum maintaining time between 30 to 60 seconds. The vacuum rate is set as one of the following: 20, 30, 50 or 90kPa. Then, start testing to achieve preset vacuum rate and maintain the vacuum maintaining time. Observe the leakage during vacuuming and vacuum maintaining periods so as to see if there are bubbles. A single separated bubble can not be regarded as specimen leakage.

Would a coin from a proof set be equal to, higher than, or lower than MS-65 quality?
MS-65 is a grade for normal circulation strike coins as well as uncirculated commemoratives as well as mint sets. Proof Coins use PF then the grade number. A proof is a specially made coin and the term PF is not a grade but a designation. Most modern proof sets from the late 1990's up actually grade higher than PR-65. Older sets may grade that or lower. Once a proof coin is broken out of a set is usually when things go wrong and the grade gets lower do to storage. The proof set cases are however not air tight and must have proper storage.
